How to remove duplicate from the python list

Let’s say you have a list with duplicate entry like nums = [1, 2, 4, 5, 3, 4, 5, 9, 0, 0, 0, 2, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 6, 7]. Following code removes duplicate entry:

def removeDuplicate(duplicateList):
    outputList = []
    for listItem in duplicateList:
        if listItem not in outputList:
            outputList.append(listItem)
    return outputList

nums = [1, 2, 4, 5, 3, 4, 5, 9, 0, 0, 0, 2, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 6, 7]

#print duplicate list
print("Duplicate list: ", nums)

#print removed duplicate list:
print("Final list: ", removeDuplicate(nums))

Output should look like following:

Duplicate list:  [1, 2, 4, 5, 3, 4, 5, 9, 0, 0, 0, 2, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 6, 7]
Final list:  [1, 2, 4, 5, 3, 9, 0, 6, 7, 8]

Process finished with exit code 0
